Steven M. Seibert’s career as a lawyer, mediator, business owner, corporate board member, elected official and statewide agency director is founded upon innovative leadership and a successful knack for resolving difficult disputes. The St. Petersburg Times described Mr. Seibert as “a consensus builder with an eye to the future” and as one of Florida's "significant thinkers."
He has extensive experience in strategic and long-term planning; issues relating to transportation, water and energy supply, affordable housing, community design, public administration, alternative dispute resolution, and disaster preparedness and recovery. Mr. Seibert is an experienced public speaker and author of many articles addressing public policy challenges.
Mr. Seibert currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS). Steve was a charter Board member (created in 2004) of what is now recognized as the world’s largest crop nutrition company and has served on the Compensation, Governance and the Environmental, Health and Safety Committees.
Mr. Seibert is a 1977 graduate of The George Washington University, where he was chosen for Phi Beta Kappa, and is a 1980 graduate of the Law School at the University of Florida. For the succeeding decade, he practiced environmental and land use land in both the public and private sectors.
