Foreclosure problem continues to plague Florida's economy, courts

Rampant foreclosures remain a problem for Florida's sputtering economy, but a temporary blip in foreclosure filings is jeopardizing the state court system. According to data presented to a Senate panel Tuesday by state economists and courts administrators, Florida had the second-highest foreclosure rate in the nation in 2010, and had the second-most number of foreclosure filings in August 2011.
