Clear Language Institute, a nonprofit corporation based in Sarasota, announced on Sunday that it opposes Constitutional Amendment 7. In a press release, the Institute said a survey conducted on its behalf "showed that the vast majority of Florida voters believe Amendment 7 is unclear or confusing, and do not fully understand its meaning or the impact the law might have on them."
According to the release, the Amendment 7 opposition is the Institute's maiden project. The amendment was placed on the ballot by the Legislature to "clarify" Amendments 5 and 6, which seek to stop the drawing of legislative and congressional districts for party advantage in Florida.
