Best. Day. Ever.
Each evening, I ask my kids about their day, what they liked about it, and why.
My 5-year-old son often says: "This was the best day ever!"
To him, sitting in our pajamas all day and playing board games qualifies as the best day ever!
Going to Target and visiting the toy aisle is the best day ever!
Baking cookies makes it the best day ever!
Playing hide-and-seek? Best day ever!
And Mommy packing french toast in my lunch box makes it the best day ever!
I love my son’s perspective on life. He finds so much joy in the little things.
It reminds me that our actions, as insignificant as they may seem, can make someone's day
the best day ever!

2010: The Florida Amendments
Six amendment proposals and one referendum have been approved for inclusion on the 2010 Florida state ballot. In 2008, the Collins Center introduced an objective, non-political and informative online portal for citizens to learn about and discuss the ballot amendments that year's ballot. Once again, we present this online forum for the 2010 Amendments along with news and details of the proposals to be voted on November 2nd.

Data, Dialog & Transparency: The Federal Stimulus Program in Florida
The federal government is injecting $825 billion into the U.S. economy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Of that amount, Florida is expected to receive $24.6 billion.
The Collins Center is exploring the spending of those dollars in Florida and the impact they are having on the state, its economy and its citizens.
