THINKING. 
- The Collins Center was the source for voters wanting to learn more about proposed 2008 and 2010 amendments to the Florida Constitution. We examined the proposed measures with a nonpartisan eye and sent informed voters to the polls.
- We followed the trail of stimulus spending for health care, infrastructure and education in Florida.
DOING.
- Our Foreclosure Mediation Program employs trained mediators to help borrowers and lenders reach a mutually agreeable end to mortgage foreclosure cases at no cost to the homeowner. The program has helped tens of thousands of Floridians and is recognized by the Florida Supreme Court for its innovation.
- We are boosting the economic and social health of communities along the southern shores of Lake Okeechobee by focusing on strong regional leadership, clear regional priorities and effective regional communication.
FOR FLORIDA AND BEYOND.
- When eight hurricanes and two tropical storms ripped through Florida in 2004 and 2005, the Collins Center helped homeowners and insurance companies resolve disputes over the damage. With more than 25,000 mediation requests, we oversaw the world’s largest post-catastrophic mediation program ever. Our courteous service, convenient process and highly trained mediators served as a model for mediation programs in Louisiana and Mississippi after hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
- We are actively involved in exploring ways to advance men’s health and well-being through an association with the International Society of Men’s Health. The association includes health and medical professionals from around the globe who are leaders in their respective nations. The Collins Center has a particular interest in the social determinants of men’s health, with a focus on incarceration and poverty.
- The multi-year effort to envision
the future of the state through Our Florida. Our Future will engage Floridians to create a dynamic global state with communities that are prosperous, healthy, just, neighborly and sustainable. SUPPORT OUR WORK.
